San Pedro Cutting Monstrosus 25 – 35 cm

San Pedro Monstrosus

The San Pedro Monstrosus (Echinopsis pachanoi) is a unique and rare mutant of the San Pedro cactus. Its unusual shape is due to uneven growth of its ribs, which is why it has been dubbed “Monstrose.” Unlike other San Pedro species, which typically have a classic star shape, the Monstrosus has a distinct appearance while still containing the same amount of mescaline. The effects of the Monstrosus can be powerful to extreme, and guidance is recommended during its use. It’s important to note that mescaline cacti are not recreational drugs. Their use for entheogenic purposes has roots that date back millennia, especially among indigenous peoples in South and Central America who have utilized these unique cacti for spiritual exploration and to address deep-seated emotional issues.

Effects of Mescaline San Pedro Monstrosus

Users report that the ego plays a significant role during a mescaline trip. San Pedro acts as a mirror to your ego; if you possess self-knowledge, you will recognize this reflection, leading to a different experience than if you are unaware of your true self. The latter may cause a significant shift in your perception of contemporary life.

While using San Pedro Monstrosus, you may experience the following effects:

– A change in perception, altering how you view the world during a ritual.
– More vibrant and intense visions.
– Objects may appear contoured, distorted, or emit light.
– Altered perception of time and space, where areas may seem larger or smaller at different times.
– A sensation of time standing still during the trip.
– Heightened sensory perceptions (synesthesia), where music may be visualized, photographs come to life, and the tactile sensation of objects may differ.
– Increased sensitivity to changing moods, along with insights into your life or enhanced wisdom.
– Magical or religious experiences.
– The emergence of deep-rooted underlying issues, which may be confronted through personal insights obtained during the trip.
– Enrichment of your mental and spiritual understanding.

San Pedro Monstrosus is Not a Recreational Drug

Taking the San Pedro cactus is not an act of leisure. Instead, it serves as a powerful spiritual entheogen. The San Pedro cactus can instigate intense hallucinations and visions aimed at revealing your true self and confronting your emotions. Engaging with these strong feelings is inevitable. Expect a cleansing of the soul, aimed at removing negative burdens carried throughout life. Therefore, it is always recommended to consume San Pedro in the presence of a companion.

What Makes San Pedro Monstrosus Psychedelic?

Mescaline, a psychedelic alkaloid found in nature, closely resembles the body’s neurotransmitter epinephrine (adrenaline). This similarity allows mescaline to bind to serotonin and dopamine receptors in the brain, resulting in its psychedelic and hallucinogenic effects. In addition to mescaline, the San Pedro cactus contains numerous other substances that also play a smaller but active role after ingestion.

How to Prepare Mescaline San Pedro Monstrosus for Consumption

San Pedro Monstrosus can be prepared in various ways. The traditional method involves cooking pieces of cactus for a long period, often with the addition of herbs. If using dried cactus, it is essential to chew the pieces thoroughly and slowly, then grind them into a fine mixture. While you could consume the powdered form directly, this may lead to stomach cramps. To avoid discomfort, it is advisable to make a drink from the San Pedro instead. Follow the steps below:

Preparation and Usage Instructions for San Pedro Cactus

1. Work hygienically and put on gloves.
2. Remove the thorns from the cactus.
3. Make a cut along the entire length from top to bottom, between the ribs of the cactus.
4. Peel off the transparent skin from the green tissue, and if necessary, grate any remaining green flesh from the peeled skin.
5. Once the San Pedro cactus is bare, cut it into slices of about 1 cm thickness.
6. Place the 1 cm thick San Pedro slices in an oven at 50°C until they feel dry. Alternatively, you can allow the San Pedro discs to dry in the sun.
7. Grind the dried discs into a fine powder. (Note: Consuming the San Pedro in this form may lead to stomach cramps.)
8. Place the San Pedro powder in a pan with water and let it boil for several hours. During boiling, the active substances will dissolve into the cooking water.
9. Pour the liquid into a larger pan (let’s call it Pan 2).
10. The remaining paste should stay in Pan 1. Refill Pan 1 with water.
11. Repeat steps 8, 9, and 10 a total of 4 to 5 times.
12. Test the paste in Pan 1; if it still tastes bitter, repeat the process from steps 8 and 9 until the bitterness has completely disappeared from the Mescaline paste in Pan 1.
13. Reduce the contents of Pan 2 until about 1 liter of liquid remains.
14. Strain the contents of Pan 2 using a fine strainer before drinking, as you want to avoid consuming any stray thorns.
