USE INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Place a small sample (2-5mg) of the substance you wish to analyze in the provided plastic tube. If you prefer clearer results, the test can also be performed on a white ceramic surface (e.g., a kitchen plate).
2. Add a drop of the Ehrlich reagent to the sample and observe the color change.
The Ehrlich Test confirms the presence of indole groups in a sample. Substances such as LSD, DMT (ayahuasca), psilocybin, psilocin (mushrooms), AMT, 5-MeO-DMT, 5-MeO-DIPT, 5-MeO-MIPT, and 5-MeO-AMT contain indole groups and will react with this reagent. To distinguish among these indolic molecules, we highly recommend testing your sample with the Hofmann reagent as well. This serves as a reliable validation of the results obtained with the Ehrlich reagent.
Upon reaction, the sample will gradually turn purple or magenta (see legend). The reaction may take some time (up to 3 minutes), especially if the substance is on blotter paper.
After completing the test, clean all materials thoroughly with plenty of water. The entire process takes approximately 5 minutes. For a longer shelf life (up to 12 months), store the kit at a cold temperature, preferably in the freezer.
